Farm cooking and good tasting

Most disappointing visit ever. At 1:15, most of the vegetables were gone. Their vegetable plate had around 10-12 veggies before COVID; there were only 5 veggies available on Friday, August 7. Of course, I will be back. I know what the kitchen staff can do. One bad visit out of several hundred in twenty-five years isn't a lot to complain about!

I love the food here. And the price is reasonable. It’s just sooo busy that the service is terribly slow. They are under staffed. But I love the atmosphere also. There is nothing not to like about this place!

Excellent food, courteous staff and fast service. If you are coming through Lagrange GA this is the place to eat.

Delicious home style food! Never have I ever been disappointed in the food nor the service. The location is gorgeous, and the cooks are truly talented. Southern cooking never tasted quite so good.

Very tasty country style eats. You get a meat and the sides. This place has food done right. The restaurant is in what used to be a church. Fast and friendly service. Only open for lunch.

Very good and tasty food. Has a vegetarian plate and a salad plate worth trying. All menu items are really good.

If you want an experience you cannot get anywhere else in LaGrange, GA, THIS is it! Located in an old Episcopalian church saved by the Daniel family, you will have a breathtaking view no matter where you sit. The staff are the very definition of warm, southern hospitality!As for the food... I don't even know where to begin. Whatever the cook is being paid, I guarantee it is NOT enough! I love to travel and love to eat even more, but this was something I'll never forget. I will drive hours just to visit again. I had the roast beef meal with quite possibly the best creamed potatoes I've ever had in my life. I believe they are only open for lunch, so absolutely make plans to eat here while visiting! It is a MUST!!

Local, home made from scratch delicious gourmet dishes. Historic church turned into restaurant with historic pieces in display Local artists actively posting their painting on the wall. Amazing staff with welcoming hospitality. Love the easy menu style. Extremely high energy vibe.

It was warm (from a cold natured person) at noon in July. The food was ok. Green beans and mashed potatoes were good! The cheeseburger pie was ok. The chicken pot pie did have tons of meat but there was no thickness to the filling. Not enough crust on the chicken pot pie. The best thing we both had was the pineapple casserole it was delicious. It made me remember that someone in my family used to make one similar. Overall first visit was filling but not spectacular.

A little noise but worth the food. Was seated immediately and food was served within 10 minutes. Oh the food was great. Fried pork chop, rutabaga s and greens, cornbread. Large selection of veggies and several meats to choose from too.

I see a lot of places described as "home cooked" and its never quite right. But if you grew up in the South, this place will take you back to Granny's table. It brought back memories of a few really good church potlucks of my past as well. Especially when you've been traveling and haven't had "real" food in awhile, this food isn't just delicious, it's good for your soul. Thank y'all for a great lunch!

Great meat and three with daily specials and delicious desserts. The building - which is a former church - is really neat. Would gladly return. Enjoyed the meat loaf...something I do not eat often.

Quaint, home-style southern food served up in an old church. Good food, good price, and friendly, but slow, service. The chairs are rickety and the floor vents are sometimes placed directly under your table and chair, leading to a drafty dining experience at best.Not a place to avoid, by any means, but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here.

Great food, rough parking. Go early.

Southern homestyle eats for every palate with a large variety of country vegetables including fried okra, rutabagas, and squash casserole. The salad plate was a gracious offering of chicken salad, broccoli salad, carrot salad, pasta salad, congealed salad, curried rice, plus a deviled egg. Ham and cheese quiche was a favorite at our table. Very popular spot at the noon hour but tables open quickly.

Great food in a wonderful location. Park can be a bit difficult though.

One of the best and oldest restaurants in lagrange. Open for only lunch hours can make it very busy but that's no problem for there amazing staff!

Great Southern style cooking located in what was previously a church. Located on Ga. Hwy 219 in Lagrange. Ga.

Awesome lunch spot when you have a craving for down south homestyle cooking. Located in an old church that features local art on the walls (I believe you can buy the art). Famous for pineapple casserole. My favorite dish is cube steak and gravy...so tender!

Excellent service and very, very, VERY Delicious plates of Southern style vegetables including: candy style sweet potatoes, green beans, collard greens, rutabagas, creamed corn, steamed cabbage, field beans, steamed carrots and fried okra.Even as delicious we're the side of Barbeque ribs--fall off the bone goodness!Not to forget the carrot cake for dessert.Anyone visiting Lagrange must, must and MUST visit and eat at the Taste of Lemon restaurant.
